How to Study For Finals
by Cody Breeden
Dead week is upon us and we need to focus on studying for what is one of the most stressful weeks of school. Studying can be hard. Motivation, ethic, and even retaining the information can bring about issues. Here are some proven methods of study so you can be at your tiptop for hell.
1: Chew gum. Chewing gum then chewing the same flavor during a test has been proven to help you brain make connections to what you had studied. Chewing gum increases blood flow to the brain. The effect lasts about 20 minutes so bring an extra pack.
2:Another aspect of gum is its ability to help you remember what you studied. Im talking about flavors. Chew what ever flavor you like when studying, then when test time comes chew the same flavor. Your brain will link the experience of the flavor to the previous times you’ve had it.
3: What or how do you find time to study? How long do study? One of the most effective ways is to study for 30 minutes then take a 10 minute break. After the the break you go back and study for 35 minutes. You continue this way adding 5 minutes to your study time. This lets you get used to studying.
